SAND Modular Mission Payload (MMP)

The SAND (Strobe And Noise Distraction) MMP attaches securely to the Throwbot 2 Robot and is controlled via the OCU3, providing an 850‑lumen strobe light and a piercing 100 dB buzzer. Designed for high-stress operations, it enables tactical diversion and alerts team members or distracts subjects while maintaining the robot’s IP65/IP67 integrity  .

Operators can deploy the strobe or alarm in pulse or hold modes using the OCU3 controls. The SAND MMP is optimized to function under extreme conditions while preserving Throwbot 2’s standard performance ratings, including drop and throw resistance  .
