The Operator Control Unit II (OCU II) is a lightweight (1.6 lb / 0.73 kg), handheld ground control station designed to pair with ReconRobotics devices such as Throwbot® 2 and Recon Scout. Featuring rotating integrated antennas for quick activation, it supports low-latency audio and video streaming directly from the robot over distances up to 150 ft (45 m) through walls or 450 ft (137 m) line-of-sight .
With a 3.5″ display, single joystick control, and rugged IP66/IP67 compliance, the OCU II supports joystick-driven robot movement, real-time situational awareness, and external AV output via standard connectors. Its onboard battery delivers up to 120 minutes of continuous operation thanks to field-tested lithium-polymer power packs
